Introduction: I moved away from NY for 10 years and returned a couple of years ago to attend law school. I'm interested in meeting other black professional women.
If you were awarded a medal for bravery, what would it be for?: Probably for speaking up even when my opinions are not in line with the majority.
What is one of your favourite sayings or quotations about success?: Sucess is when preparation meets opportunity.
How do you inspire others?: By doing instead of saying.
Have you ever turned a failure into a success?: I thought I failed when I wasn't accepted into one of my top choice law schools. Then I performed well during my first year and was able to transfer into a school that I wanted to attend.
Have you ever had an unexpected success that really surprised you?: Yes. Last summer, I was blessed to have been selected as an intern at a very successful entertainment law firm. There were around 60+ candidates and I sold myself and was selected.
