About Women Mentoring Women

Women Mentoring Women provides women with a forum to give and receive each other career guidance (getting jobs, promotions, switching careers, etc). This is an area that is often neglected in our casual conversations with friends where non-career topics often dominate. Women Mentoring Women believes that any woman can be a mentor regardless of age or career experience. We all have our insights and wisdom to contribute to each other, our communities and the world.

Women Mentoring Women reminds its members that wherever she is on her career path or her life's journey, there is someone out there that wishes she was in her position and someone out there who can remember being where she is now.

A woman's career can be a very isolating experience but at Women Mentoring Women we are here to show career women that they are not alone, and regardless of what they are doing or how they are feeling - great or not so great - there is someone who can not only relate but can provide the guidance necessary to helping her get what she wants out of her career life.

I welcome you to seek out other members and offer them the opportunity to know you (for all the wisdom and brilliance you possess is a gift beyond measure) and remember to ask for their priceless guidance and insight.

It is the imprudence of the young to dismiss the old, and it is the foolishness of old age to forget youth.

When we are young, we see with fresh sight - a thing that cannot be taken for granted and when we have walked many miles, we have the blessing of experience and hindsight - a thing that cannot be ignored.
